The tide went out and it left crabs. Thousands of them. Crab Rush is fast twin-stick arena survival where your feet and your aim work two different jobs at once — and every 5th wave, the King Crab himself scuttles in to end your run.
What is Crab Rush?
Crab Rush is a free browser twin-stick shooter: you move in one direction while shooting in another, holding out against escalating waves of crabs that swarm the arena from every side. Between the pincers you'll find power-ups that change how you fight — spread fans your shots wide, rapid cranks your fire rate, and freeze stops the swarm cold. Survive four waves and the fifth brings the King Crab, a boss with real health and real attitude. The cycle repeats, faster and meaner, until the crabs finally win. Your job is to make that take as long as possible.

How to play
- Move and shoot independently. Movement is one input, aim is the other. Practice running one way while firing behind you — it's the core skill of the whole game.
- Clear the wave. Every crab down brings the next wave closer. Waves grow in size and speed as your score climbs.
- Grab power-ups on your path. Spread, rapid and freeze drop into the arena — route your circling toward them rather than sprinting through danger.
- Survive the King Crab. Every 5th wave is a boss fight. Learn his lunge, stay off the walls, and keep shots on him between attacks.
- Repeat and outlast. Each boss defeated starts a harder cycle. Chase your best wave and score.

Tips & strategy
- 🔄Never stop moving. A moving target in wide circles turns a 360-degree swarm into a single trailing blob you can mow down over your shoulder.
- 🧱Stay off the walls. The edge of the arena removes half your escape routes. Treat the center as home base and the walls as lava.
- ⚡Kill the fast crabs first. Small, quick crabs close distance while you're distracted by big ones. Delete the sprinters, then grind down the tanks.
- 🎁Match the power-up to the moment. Spread is for when you're surrounded, rapid is for burning down tough single targets, and freeze is your reset button when a wave goes wrong.
- 🗺️Route toward power-ups early. Grabbing a power-up at the start of a wave means it works for the whole wave; grabbing it with three crabs left wastes it.
- 👑Fight the King Crab side-on. His lunge is deadly in a straight line. Strafe perpendicular to him, dodge the lunge, then punish him during recovery.
- 🧊Bank a freeze feeling for boss waves. If a freeze drops late in wave 4 or 9, save your pickup until the King Crab arrives — a frozen boss is free damage.

Spread fires a fan of shots for crowd clearing, rapid boosts your fire rate for single tough targets, and freeze stops every crab in the arena for a few precious seconds.
How often does the boss appear?
The King Crab shows up every 5th wave — waves 5, 10, 15 and so on — and gets stronger each visit.
