What is this Rock Paper Scissors?
This is a free browser version of rock paper scissors with a twist: the AI opponent is an adaptive pattern learner. It doesn't pick randomly â it studies your throw history, spots your habits (like switching after a loss, or never playing the same sign three times), and counters what it predicts you'll do next. There are two ways to play: best-of-5 matches for quick, decisive duels, and endless streak mode, where you win for as long as you can stay unpredictable. The longer you play, the more data it has on you â and the smarter it gets.

How to play
- Pick a mode. Best-of-5 for a short match â first to three round wins â or endless streak to see how long you can keep beating the machine.
- Throw your sign. Choose rock, paper or scissors. Rock breaks scissors, scissors cut paper, paper wraps rock.
- Watch the result. Wins, losses and draws are tallied â and quietly fed into the AI's model of you.
- Adapt faster than it does. The AI is hunting for your patterns. Your job is to not have any â or to have fake ones.

Tips & strategy
- ð§ Know the human tells the AI feeds on. People who just won tend to repeat their winning throw; people who just lost tend to switch to the sign that would have beaten their opponent. The AI knows both habits â deliberately break them.
- ðRepeat yourself sometimes. Humans instinctively avoid throwing the same sign three times in a row, so the AI discounts it. A well-timed triple rock is genuinely disarming.
- ðēVary from round one. In best-of-5, your first throws are the AI's training data for the match's endgame. Open with something that isn't your comfort sign (statistically, most players open rock).
- ðŠĪPlant a fake pattern, then break it. Throw a readable sequence for three or four rounds, let the model commit to it, then play the counter to its counter. This is the strongest deliberate play in streak mode.
- â°Outsource your randomness. When the streak gets long and your brain starts looping, use something external â seconds on the clock modulo three, letters of a song lyric â because true human randomness is a myth, and the AI is counting on that.
- âïļRotate evenly over the long run. If your all-time distribution drifts toward one sign, the AI leans on that lean forever. Keep your rock/paper/scissors usage close to a third each.

What's the difference between the modes?
Best-of-5 is a short match â first to three round wins takes it. Endless streak mode keeps counting your consecutive wins until the AI finally reads you, and your best streak is recorded.
